“Ancient knowledge of DNA memories”
Smriti: The Memory that Binds the Soul
In Hindi, Smriti means memory. According to ancient Vedic wisdom and the real-life experiences of great yogis and masters, memories exist in several layers of our being. Human life is made up of multiple sheaths, as described by Adi Guru Shankaracharya. These layers hold memories that shape our karma and spiritual journey.
There are mainly many types of memories, often classified into Internal and external forms:
- Self-based karmic memories from past lives. These bind the soul to the cycle of birth and rebirth.
- External memories like “ancestral smritis” that come from our family line, which is often the most influential and deeply rooted, when compared to the other smritis.
The Role of Ancestors in Our Spiritual Journey
Our sages have always guided that the soul takes human birth with the potential to reach its original divine source. But personal desires often transform into fear, sorrow, greed, anger, jealousy, and similar emotions create blocks on the path to spiritual freedom or mukti.
One major obstacle comes from unresolved connections with our ancestors. These souls may get stuck in an in-between state and continue to influence the lives of their descendants. Until they are released, they remain bound to this plane.
This bond is known as Pitr Rina, where Rina means a debt. These souls need help from their descendants to re-enter the cycle of life or find liberation. If not addressed, these unfulfilled energies can affect the health, relationships, and overall well-being of the family.
Our scriptures call this state Preta Yoni, and they have always stressed the importance of performing Pitr Karma or rituals to give peace to our ancestors. Out of the six duties of human life, Pitr Rina is considered one of the most powerful in shaping one’s destiny.
Why Rituals Seem Ineffective Today
In the age of Kaliyuga, most rituals have lost their depth and purity. Many people are corrupted with the vikaaras of kali and still they perform rituals without proper understanding or devotion, while theertha sthalas themselves have become ineffective. But the effect of these ancestral memories still continues. That’s why, whether someone follows the rituals or not, they often face similar struggles—because the root cause, the Smriti, remains active. With passing time these smritis pile up and become the main reason for the destruction of peaceful family life. As they themselves attract several other negative smiritis and make the life decisions totally choatic and unnatural.
Hope in Kali Yuga: Blessings of Mahavatar Babaji
Despite the chaos of modern times, there is still hope. Param Pujya Mahavatar Babaji, a divine yogi known across the world, has offered a new path for liberation from such karmic memories.
Through simple and powerful practices based on Sanatan Dharma, Babaji has revived ancient techniques that work even in today’s age. This spiritual system is centered around a place near Kanpur called Karauli Shankar Mahadev Dhaam.
With the presence of Babaji and Maa, this sacred place has become a center of transformation. People suffering from incurable diseases and emotional blockages often experience healing from the root level. The journey to wellness begins not just through medicine, but by addressing the deep karmic and ancestral memories that are often forgotten.
